Torso length
Torso length
As we all come in different shapes and sizes, it is important to consider your torso length when choosing the right pack. Our patented Helsport ACS allows you to fine tune the torso length of your pack within a large range, making these packs highly compatible for most people. Everyone has different back, and this is not necessarily linked to body length. Depending on the type of pack and use, we offer bags with different back lengths, for everyone to be able to find a model that fits. Bags with a short back is described either ‘f / M’ or small (s). These bags are custom back lengths from about 38 to about 45 cm *, while the normal / Medium (M) sacks is suitable for people with spinal length from about 43 to about 50 cm. f / M and small bags are in general designed for smaller people. This is achieved by a shorter hipbelt, less distance between the shoulder straps and narrower shoulder straps.
About volume ratings
What does that volume rating mean anyway? The ratings provided by Helsport refer to the volume of the main compartment of the pack, plus any fixed pockets and compartments, including the lid. In addition will some of our models be possible to ”overload”, due to volumes that are possible to expand, add or take away, such as:
Floating top lid: several of our models have a floating lid, that makes it possible to increase the volume up to 20l. Some lids can also be detached from the pack. Detachable side pockets: pockets that can be detached if not needed.
