Tried, tested and proven poles
Based on years of testing and analysis, we has developed the Helsport superpole®. The pole’s dimensions and degree of pre-bend are individually adjusted for each tent model based on the height, diameter and expected degree of extreme bending. We offer our special aluminium alloy poles with:
• Better resistance against permanent bending
• Higher level of break-strength
• 100% anti-oxidation treatment to prevent corrosion
Each Helsport tent comes complete with a repair kit including everything needed to fix a hole, tear or broken pole. We have new poles for our pro- and some X-trem series tents: Helsport scandium superpole fc® – stronger and lighter. The majority of tent pole breakage takes place immediately around the connecting joints. With this in mind we have developed a new method of connection, which improves weight and pressure distribution greatly. Our new joint construction also makes it possible to reduce the pole’s outer dimension. This, combined with the lighter connecting joints, means lighter poles for our weight conscious pro-category customers. Our poles are put through rigorous stress tests based on bow-length, height and width. These tests let us know where the greatest levels of stress are found on the bow – in the centre.
The x-treM poles are also improved with elastic cord with improved resistance to extreme cold temperatures.

The poles of the X-trem tents are also improved with cold resistant elastic bands.
Unique pole channel system
There are pros and cons to both internal and external pole channeling; each method has its advantages. Helsport has once again set new industry standards by designing a hybrid system combining the best of both internal and external pole channels. Our unique pole channel system has:
• Inner channels, which have more waterproof seams (outer channels have “open” seams on the roof.)
• Inner channels which increase wind stability
• Inner channels, which have lower noise levels in strong winds
• Outer openings to insert poles which make it quicker and easier to set up the tent. The poles are inserted on one side and nestle in a pocket at the end of the channel on the other side.
